| Comment | They need to be banned from public purchase and only be used at organised events on bonfire night only. My dogs hate them, the Westie barks like mad and the Lhasa Apso is shit scared of loud noises as it is, poor wee guy howls, whimpers and buries himself behing the cushions on the couch when they start. Also the effect the noise they make has on some dementia residents where I work who lived through the blitz and served on the front lines during the wars is bloody heartbreaking to see, one man is normally a lovey, calm person but when fireworks start going off in the run up to bonfire night he starts screaming "the bastards are bombing us!" and gets terribly worked up and a lady in my unit came running from her room when a random one went off at 10pm screaming and crying because she thought she was back in the blitz and she lost her mum & sister during a bombing. Not to mention all the wee arseholes letting them off at 2am during the week round my way. |
