| Comment | You can grow them yourself quite easily if you use a grow kit. You can legally buy the grow kits and spores separately in the UK - there's actually a supplier that's quite local. Google cylocybe , I have used them a number of times. They have instructions on the site about how to inoculate the kits with the spore syringes. It's pretty much foolproof, even for me, though I actually managed to slightly stab myself with the syringe last time I did it.
Innoculated grow kits (that already have the spores in the growing medium) aren't legal in the UK but you can buy from the Netherlands and take the risk of it being seized at Customs and getting a stern letter instead. I have never thought it worth the risk when it's quicker and easier to do that part yourself.
I am not confident at identifying liberty caps but if you want to go hunting then this is the season for it, and from what I heard this seems to be a good year (last year wasn't)
In terms of the experience itself, there has been some research on psychedelics and addictions, as it sounds like you know, but the dose needs to be big, approaching the fabled 'heroic' dose of Terence McKenna fame. At least 4 grams dried / 40 grams fresh or maybe more depending on your bodyweight. I would recommend having someone you trust to be around. |
