| Comment | What the bloody fuck are people paying council tax for?
In all of my trips to different cities in Germany (Munich, Dusseldorf and Berlin) they don't even wait until the bloody morning to start cleaning the place up. Many a time I've stumbled out a pub at 1am/2am over there and they have the street cleaners out emptying the bins, picking up (the small amount of) litter and power washing S/U-bahn stations and what not.
Is it really too much to ask that we all take a bit of civic pride in the place and have the council do their fucking jobs and tidy the place up? |
