We looked to buy a house there. We didn't. Nice enough houses in some areas, but there isn't much there and what high street there was seemed to be a war zone.
"the South" covers quite a big area from Renfrew, Govan through to Shawlands, Newlands and out to Giffnock, Muirend etc.
