As an evangelical....let's be honest. I've seen far more anti abortion/anti LGBT/controversial signs than ones proclaiming God's love for everyone.
I mind being stopped on Argyle Street a few years ago and being relatively open about a crisis of faith. The guy helpfully told me I'd obviously never been saved in the first place and was going to hell.
It's this kind of shit that gives evangelicals a bad name. And it's the complete opposite of what the majority of evangelicals are like on a one to one basis. |
