Comment | This might be a bit convoluted, but I checked to see where the archives for the Institute are held and the record at TNA says [they're 'privately held'](https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/N13819611) and to contact [NRAS](https://www.nrscotland.gov.uk/record-keeping/national-register-of-archives-for-scotland/contact-nras). It might be worth getting in touch with them to see if you can contact the archive that has the papers. In my experience as an archivist it's quite unlikely they would hold a copy of your mum's \*actual\* certificate, but they might have an example of one from c. 1948 which they/you could use to make a mock-up? |
