They said similar things about the green space behind Shakespeare Street. They pumped quite a bit of concrete down there back in the 80s but still said the combination of voids and proximity of railway tunnels meant it was unsafe to build on. Now they are flinging up two blocks of flats and another small green space is gone. It didn't look like they were putting in particularly deep piles so I worry about anyone buying one of those flats.
