| Comment | If you want to get a spouse visa, you will need to provide 6 months of payslips/bank accounts, plus a rake of other shite. The fees are about £2000 assuming you do the application yourself (rather than via a solicitor) and then you have to pay the same again after 2.5 years and the after 5 years you can apply for ILR (probably more fees). It's very offputting and I may end up moving back to my wife's home country, as the UK immigration system is shite. Oh and you have to wait 60 working days to get the visa granted, unless you pay an extra £600. |
