| Comment | Ive never had a problem locking my bike up anywhere city centre and I have a mint green Dutch bike so it stands out! My best advice would be to get a super strong one (mine is a £25 one out of b and q, proper big chains and a bolt cutter wouldnt break it) and make sure the lock goes through the front wheel and the bike frame. The front wheel is easy to remove and people don't tend to bother taking the back as it's a hassle and messy. I lock mine up in view of the window in my work so I can keep an eye in it too. There's also a website called Bike Register where you can put in your details, picture of your bike, and bike serial number etc to help police if it does get stolen |
