| Comment | This is a very old tactic. Years ago - I'm talking over 15 years ago, back when I lived in Brighton, someone rang the doorbell with pretty much the same spiel (minus the iPad back then). He'd caught me while I was on the phone so I wasn't prepared, and I stupidly gave him all my info, and the next thing I knew I'd switched suppliers to Southern Electrics (now SSE). I kinda figured out what was happening after a while but at that point I rolled with it. SSE turned out to be a very good supplier but I did make a complaint on how it was done. |
