| Comment | Yeah this person has it totally backwards - they sacrificed the mental wellbeing of kids in order for their parents to be able to get back to work because they needed to protect the economy. Look at the top comment? My sister is a teacher too and she would likely completely agree with this summary, she's absolutely burst trying to deal with completely apathetic, burned out, nihilistic kids. But who can blame them? Can you imagine being 13/14yo right now, becoming aware of the world and your place in it only to realise that the entire thing feels like it is up in flames and the people who are meant to be responsible for it are all flapping their hands and doing fuck all? I'd be fucking nihilistic too. |
