Comment | Did my MEng there. Classes I remember being good were:
Electrical Power Systems - taught by EEE professor but counted as Mechanical credits. Was at maybe a 2nd year level since it was a conversion course.
Air Pollution - Civil Engineering department (think you're allowed 20 credits a semester from other departments) but it was literally making 2 posters for final grade, everyone got As.
Nuclear power systems - All coursework based, quite interesting, easy to get a good score.
Energy Policy - Name might be a little different but it was taught by Joseph Clarke, was a really good overview of the challenges to achieving Net Zero, exam was easy and learning was very good prep for interviews if you're going into that sector.
Ones to avoid:
Design Management from DMEM. Was EXTREMELY popular with erasmus students, who were clearly in Glasgow to party and not work. Literally everyone I knew from the course had problems with their groups with team members disappearing mid semester, committing plagiarism for group submissions, generally failing to work in a team. |
