Could be the pipes - there’s a possibility sewage or waste is seeping in to the drinking water. That would affect the taste.
New plumbing can affect the taste - this is down to the traces of copper or other materials coming in to contact with the water. With old pipes there’s a build up that lines the pipes that prevents this.
External spillage - tastes and smells of petrol/fuel can be caused when petrol, diesel or other solvents have been spilt. These chemicals can travel through plastic water pipes and enter your water supply. |
