| Comment | I think you’re right. Bad cycle lanes are worse than none. As you suggest, the fact that none of them are joined up, means that people who lack confidence on the road aren’t going to use them as they can’t complete their whole journey. This not inspiring any new cycling. Those that do already must be annoyed that they are slower than cycling on the road and will likely infuriate motorists more by not using them!
