I worked there (working from home now) and was surprised Merchant City was on the turn before Covid.
The junkies were going through the cigarette bins on walls for dog ends in the mornings which meant they were milling about about when I wasn’t expecting them to - I was taking a longer route to Merchant City as well rather than up the Tron Gate as that scares me to death...... still remember seeing a junkie waking down the Tron Gate glassy eyed and uncapped needle in hand about a meter from me...... gives me the fear I could have bumped in to it. |
