I was tied to them as they were failing to remove my prepayment meter and no other suppier wanted to take me on prepayment meter. This is literally THE WORST customer service ever. I had to go all the way to ombudsman for them to release me and pay me back all they overcharged me (as while they were refusing/failing to change my meter, they kept sending me letters e-mails saying how much I could save if I switched to another tarriff, not available on prepayment meters). And even after I won the case with ombudsman, they sent me some money, then told me they are to send me more, then they told me the money they have sent is all they owe me, then when I enquired I got two contradictory answers and then they ghosted me...


I can't be arsed anymore, I got back most what I belie they owed me. I am still to receive my apology letter, but I am not holding my breath...


And this is not the first horror story with them. I used to live in a small studio when everything was electric - water, heating, cooking - and I was paying like 50-60 per month. Then my friend moved into there, and she got bills like 375 or even 725 pounds per month. It turned out they were trying to charge her for electricity for the common parts of the building INCLUDING THE LIFT...


I know two Polish girls who were overcharged because they mixed up meter numbers so they charged them for their neighbours and vice versa. Their neighbour was some jobless ned with a wife and five children living in a 4 bedroom flat, my friends had just a one bedroom flat. When the neighbour found out that he has to pay SP the difference, he somehow thought it's their fault, as they have been returned "HIS" money so he became aggressive and they had to move out.


Ah, SP. The worst company I had to deal with. And I am from Eastern Europe and remember communism.
