Cathcart is pretty good, it has the luxury of being fairly close to all the restaurants, cafes and bars (when they open) of Shawlands, Strathbungo, Battlefield, Mount Florida and Govanhill but far enough away to be a fairly quiet little bit.

You're well connected with the train station and both the 4 & 6 Will get you into the centre of town in about 20-25 minutes.

As others have said though, the proximity to Linn Park is ideal, The walk via Snuff Mill Bridge is absolutely gorgeous and you can stop off in The Old Smiddy for a pint on yer way back.
