And I understand that, but lets not exaggerate what happened last night or indeed the role of violence in football, it's not the 1980's anymore. Football fans have always been an easy target, primarily because the vast majority of fans are working class and the slightest element of unrest at football is amplified and is deliberate in perpetuating this myth that football fans are neanderthals, neds, bams and uneducated which is patronsing drivel.
The fans shouldn't have been there during a pandemic but I completely understand and support their reasons for being there, it's as simple as that. |
