I live in the east end of the city near shettleston. Doesn't have a great reputation but we've never had any trouble. 5 miles or so from town. Good connection to Glasgow & Edinburgh on the train and endless buses. Loads of flats under £60k.
Everyone will have you believe you need to be southside or westend but to get your foot on the ladder you'd probably need to go north or east for a bit. |
