If you want to hear other thoughts on this I suggest scrolling through this subreddit as there has been multiple posts on the decline of the city centre during the pandemic and how rough it has become around near central station with the housing of lots of homeless people in central hotels and the fact that there is less people in the city centre to dilute their presence. But yes I agree that I feel bad for the staff and I read somewhere that something like 8 people had been found dead in that Mackintosh hotel since they began housing people in there which is a tragedy

Edit: my mistake it was the Alexander Thomson hotel with the 8 deaths, still deeply saddening
