| Comment | you'll need a minimum 15% deposit for a mortgage at the moment so even for a 60k property thats 9k. although I don't believe that the housing market will "crash" (more of a levelling/slowdown followed by a new boom once we're all vaccinated), I would still agree with everyone else on here and say you should rent for a bit til you get settled, get your jobs sorted, build your savings, and hopefully by then 5-10% mortgages come back on the market and you may even be able to get somewhere that is actually half decent |
