i think it massively depends on the specific building. As I say avoid non-traditional construction types. Also many have had external insulation added in recent years which has probably improved insulation but now requires an EWS1 form to get a mortgage. I'm just thinking in terms of layout and space, some of the immediate post WW2 flats are really nice and spacious, with balconies and massive external storage cupboards. 60s/70s the quality went right down as you say.
