Statistically, southside is about 40% of the city population.
On top of that, half the people round here don't know what to call their specific area cause there's not well defined borders between say Queen's Park, Strathbungo and Govanhill, so it's easier to just say "Southside" - in other parts of the city there might be more defined boundaries.
