Comment | Good question. It's open source and decentralised (federated), so, for example, you can run your own server and your users can still follow my server (and vice versa, users on my server can post/comment/subscribe to your forums). Takes back a bit of control. It's also intergrated with the larger fediverse (like Mastodon etc - see [https://glasgow.social](https://glasgow.social)) so you can follow and comment from there too.
