| Comment | Hi redrioja. We adopted from GAL. They're lovely people and the process was straightforward. Just contact them to express an interest and they will guide you. We went to one of their monthly walks where you can meet some of the available dogs, but don't get too attached as ultimately GAL will recommend the best match - perfect in our case. They also did a home visit and brought a dog with them. I guess so you can get used to one being in your house ( we were first-timers). There was a short informal interview. They wanted to check we wouldn't be leaving it alone all day. Being in a tenement wasn't an issue as we have plenty of parks around. I got the impression they mostly wanted to see the home environment and what you're like as people, and how you interact with the dog. |
