Comment | I traveled over a mile to find the tree since the shops near to me have none. I traveled by foot. I carried it back. I presumed they would have bases. They had sold out. Since all the places near to me had no trees, I thought it best to pick up one as soon as possible. I then asked the nice people of Glasgow, on Reddit, if anyone knew where to buy a tree stand - because I was concerned for the tree. I was always going to find a way to leave it in water, even if that meant leaving it in a bath. You decided to be an arsehole about it. Other people have been far far more constructive - and as a result I now have a stand. Lots of nice people either responded or contacted me to offer solutions. Why are you continuing to try to insult me and my intelligence? You're the one who suggested a bloody pan as a solution. And you're the one continually responding to a reddit post of mine, where I posted an issue and people helped solve it - meaning it was a good idea for me to post in the first place. Oh, and if you want to continue to insult my intelligence, might I add that I come from a pretty poor background, and have therefore never had a real tree before. You may think some things are "common sense" to you, because you've regularly had a real tree, but my family literally used the same tree for almost 20 years. I'm trying to make this Christmas a bit special, considering what is going on. |
