This is it. That money wouldn't exist if Scotland was independent and we'd all be expected to just take the hit. Like Holyrood are already suggested would be the case in the event of independence.
Trying to go independent now would be like borrowing £500 from work to pay your rent, and then using it to go on holiday.
I do fear that being a 'Yes' means a lot of people will be scared to change their mind, even in the face of overwhelming reality. The Yes campaign quite rightly marketed their message as a lifestyle choice, and obviously it was quite fashionable, and a lot of people won't manage to move to a realpolitik mindset.
