I think what they mean by going to the shops conflicting with right to live is that you like you yourself said are not likely to catch covid, great good for you, and because you aren’t likely you wanna go to the shops or the pub or whatever because why should you worry right? You’re safe.

But the shops are closed or you have to wait a while longer and the pub only does takeout because maybe not everyone that works there is as safe as you are. There’s many shop workers who are at higher risk because of their age or health issues or maybe they live with someone who is at a higher risk and even tho the chance of this person getting covid isn’t high they just don’t want to risk passing it to their mother or grandmother or whoever they live with that’s at higher risk.

If every person who is ‘safe’ from covid was able to live on their own had no responsibility of taking care of anyone at risk and worked at places like shops, pubs etc then some sort of normalcy could take place but that’s a luxury many people don’t have.

I think thinking that ‘I’m safe therefore I should be able to do x y z’ is a very selfish and ignorant way of looking at things.
