Really struck me today when I was in a queue for a bakery near queen's park. I was looking at all the parked cars. The excessive storage of private vehicles on public lands meant that other cars had to queue and move in single file. I looked up and saw the rusted remains of the trams overheard lines. I thought of workers waking to the trams and riding into town.
Can't believe it was all ripped out. What a mistake.
