I know at least one of the families in the story you shared; these were adults trafficked, one reason being so non-EU adults could get visas. There is trafficking in Govanhill (as evidenced by your link), but no evidence of child sexual exploitation.
There is trafficking in other areas in the UK as well, it’s a poverty problem, not a Govanhill or ‘foreign person’ one. Sex workers and labourers are often victims of trafficking and modern slavery. |
