This, tenement flats are extremely hardy buildings by todays standards, whilst with age comes some ongoing repair costs, as a civil engineer I would personally trust a pre-1920 tenament over say, a 60s system built, or even one of the early 00s timber kits from say, Persimmons.

I don't have one handy from GCC, by Aberdeen city council done a good guide to tenement/general flat repair responsibility [https://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/sites/default/files/who\_rules\_the\_roof\_0.pdf](https://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/sites/default/files/who_rules_the_roof_0.pdf) which is true for all of Scotland.
