Comment | It does seem insane to be paying for 'services' whether or not those services are performed adequately (or at all), and with no control over the service provider or option to go for a competitor.
If the window cleaner doesn't show up to clean the windows, he doesn't get paid. But if the bin men can't be arsed to empty the bins for 3 weeks? Tough luck. We've had the bins missed being emptied 6 or 7 times in the last 6 months, and we had 3 months without the blue bins being touched at all, and no bulk uplifts in what, 9 months? Yet we've still expect to keep paying for it all.
Huge amounts (and far too much time) spent on making Victoria Road prettier and less practical, yet every road around it is riddled with potholes - some of which will kill your car if you're not careful. And yet we're still paying. |
