| Comment | I didn't realize this until a couple of years ago, they could do away with council tax in the country and just have all the money come from other means of general taxation.
You probably already know but other people might be interested that Glasgow City Council spent around £2.6bn in 2019/2020, they took in around £1bn in fees and the other £1.6bn came from the central government grant (£1.3bn) and council tax (£300m). |
