If someone wants you to know they did a thing then you knowing is more important to them then whatever the thing was.
If someone is truly passionate about a thing, they tend to be busy doing that thing and not promoting it.
That is my experience anyway. And if gets amplified with for-profit companies for who perception is more important than reality.
I donate to charities every month and I don't see the need to broadcast it, other than this comment because it happens to be in context. |
