My flatmate and I moved this past summer and we're renting a 2 bedroom flat for £625, so I definitely don't think you should be paying anything beyond that for a 1 bedroom. I actually wonder if you have looked into 2-3 bedroom flats? I find that the smaller the flat, the more expensive it is to rent it in relation to size. At my previous place we were paying 850/mo for a 3 bedroom (granted, we started renting it back in 2017 - they probably put the price up by now).
It may also be worth waiting just a few months. Maybe in spring and early summer you'll find better deals? |
