I respect your opinion but I disagree. Removing the public drinking laws doesn’t change the power the police have to deal with public disorder, breach of the peach, lewd behaviour etc whether alcohol is involved or not.

There are laws against rape but that doesn’t make me feel any safer walking down an alley way in the city centre at 5am.

I reckon there’s more trouble from people drinking in their own houses or in pubs/clubs than in the parks these days. These laws were made in like 2008. Are you seriously trying to say things haven’t progressed since then and THE MAJORITY of people can’t be trusted to have one or two beers in the sun without getting into bother?
