| Comment | They do look like they've been out there a while, so there might be no harm here; but as someone who's dealt with lost-and-found before I'll post again what I usually post when people find lost property.
Say where you found it, describe the item only, leaving out key details so the real owner can identify it (in this case I'd have said something like "distinctive Skull keyring" but nothing more), or if you have to show a photo, hide something significant about the item from the photo (like the keyring).
Think of the worst-case scenario: Someone close to the person who lost those keys, but holds ill-will to them, contacts you and says they're the owner. They now have keys to their house. |
