| Comment | Whichever one you go for, remember the other is only a short flight away for a visit/holiday on the way over or your way back. Paris is lovely and very photogenic but the people were not particularly friendly compared to Glasgow (in my experience).
The weather in Scotland can obviously be a downside but the rain is what keeps the scenery so fresh and green! I went to Paris during winter and it was cold but sunny. That’s also the way Glasgow has been this week but it’s hard to guarantee. Another thing to remember is that the days are really short here in the winter, we lose sunlight about 4pm!
I think if it was me, considering it’s only for a few months during winter, then I’d choose Paris. If it was a full year or 6 months I’d say Glasgow and then visit Paris....but then maybe I’m only saying that because I already live here. |
