Hi! I'm from Paris and been living in Glasgow for a few years.

In my humble opinion, go to Paris for: food (omg I miss it), nightlife (so many clubs/bars, and they close later than in Glasgow), culture. But Paris is sometimes overwhelming big and I was personally tired of spending hours in the subway/metro. And Paris is not the safest for a woman, there is a lot of street catcalling/harassement (I actually feel a lot safer walking home in Glasgow)

Choose Glasgow for: a smaller city that is easy to go around, locals are especially kind and welcoming, you're really close to jawdropping scottish landscapes and its easy to go on adventures from Glasgow. But yeah the weather is horrendous.

Other note: if you want the French experience, there are better cities to live in than Paris : Nice, Lyon, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Annecy for instance :)

Whatever your choice I trust you'll have a wonderful experience, the first experience living abroad is amazing 😊
