| Comment | I have seen this in a few flats over the years, its normally the inner wall crumbling and settling at the bottom, generally the outer surface forms a crack. It's not a massive issue, but probably a sign of lack of maintenance over the years. My view was always if that's showing what else isn't being maintained. Of course the reality is that the work is always so expensive that it never gets done. In my entire time owning a tenement the only thing we did was replace rendering on the side and it was annoyingly expensive. |
