Bit late commenting but wanted to chuck in my thoughts.

Lived here 7 years (female, alone) and if I ever move I won't go far. It's friendly, transport links are really good to the centre and while there aren't lots of amazing places to eat like the southside, it's fairly quiet and you can park easily.

If I were a first time buyer again I'd buy here - lots of folk turn their noses up but it is cheaper as a result so I'm not complaining.

Match days are a pain as the traffic backs up right round James Street and obv Orange Walks are a thing. They're annoying but they're part and parcel of living in Glasgow or just the west of Scotland.

My car got broken into once but given I'd left an (empty) laptop case on display it was my own fault for being stupid.

We don't have the same sense of community online as Dennistoun and Shawlands, but if you need help you'll get it.

Feel free to drop me a message with specifics if I can help.
