Have you considered a mesh wifi network? I have the BT wholehome system and in a flat that could not get the signal into a 2nd room this gave me full coverage. The reason I like the bt system is I put ethernet cable under the floor to each disk (hardwired backbone) and get a mesh wifi signal at full speed in evey room.

The benafit of a mesh over extenders is you get the same network name and your devices quickly move to the stronger signal as you walk around. With extenders they all have different net2names and devices hold onto the weak till it drops even when a better signal is available.
