If not possible to move it then how about (as a test) run an ethernet cable from your router to somewhere central in the flat. Get a 2nd router and turn off DHCP o 2nd router. Then try the signal from the 2nd router to see if cover2is better. It's important to turn off DHCP on the 2nd router or it won't work. Some people and routers call this bridging or bridge mode.
Whatever you do, don't get an extension cable for the phone socket, you will lose lots of speed with a long extension RJ45 cable. |
