It might be worth contacting Glasgow Museums for more pics, I think they have a big archive of pics of ordinary life.

You will struggle to find anyone on reddit who has used or seen a steamie first hand: I think they were on the wayout by the 1960s. Interestingly, Gullane Street was actually called Wilson Street in the past, according to NLS maps.
