Comment | Look up breed specific rescues, most of them are still rehoming as normal, doing home checks virtually or whatever.
If you're not experienced with dogs, don't get a beagle as a first dog, they're quite a tough breed to work with from what I've seen (my cousin has two of them) I have had greyhounds for a while now, very laid back dogs, don't need a massive amount of exercise, and tend to not have major health issues (bad teeth is the main one)
the local greyhound trust are definitely still rehoming, as are GAL - greyhound awareness league.
