He seems like a deeply troubled individual who craves attention and he’s using this cause to boost his own ego. Coupled with some very obvious drug use.
For bonus points, he’s a former marine who’s no doubt embittered by his experience in the military, which has made him hugely racist and angry, and he’s taking that racism and anger out on what he sees as a part of his country that’s been taken over by foreigners. He puts a nice emotive wrapper around it like child abuse, which conveniently drowns out any criticism of his antics, because if you criticise him then you’re obviously part of the “establishment” that’s covering it up and/or a paedo yourself.
