Same situation, live in a flat which is far from sound proof, decided at Xmas to say fuck it and bought an electric drumkit.
Like yourself I used to play years ago, and I know with electric drum kits there are very shite ones and very good ones but they'll cost you a solid amount for it.
Bit the bullet and got a midway priced one and I have no complaints (and neither do the neighbours so far which was a big concern)
If you do go for it, be prepared to realise you're piss poor compared to how you used to be, takes a bit of practice to do some songs I used to do no bother, but I guess it's like riding a bike and all that. |
