| Comment | I live Southside and am consistently impressed by the outpourings of kindness and care from and towards places like the Glad Cafe, Milk Cafe, Finn's Place etc. etc. I don't have any connection with it but believe the local Mutual Aid group on Facebook was very active helping people before government things came in stream. It is a real shame you encountered this jerk. As someone said "There's only a few really nasty people in the world, but they do seem to move around a lot". His nasty dig about your weights was just a cheap shot designed to hurt, don't let him win. If your partner was male and bald no doubt it will have been some example of the cyclist's Noel Coward wit such as "eff off, Ghandhi". I know people just minding their own business who've had horrible things shouted at them (oddly often the passenger rather the driver and from. white vans). Most people are good, most people in the Southside are good, please don't let this meanie diminish your faith in humanity. |
