| Comment | I think different agents have different procedures. Thinking back now, I was actually asked for a holding deposit on two other occasions before (in Glasgow) too, in both cases by very reputable agents (KPM and Harvey Lets) who I ended up renting with. For my most recent move, the agent for the flat I went with didn’t ask it. So I think it just depends, but it does seem to be legal. |
