| Comment | I laughed when I read your comment...because mayo in a burger happens to me ALL THE BLOODY TIME! It’s so rare I can eat a burger in a restaurant tbh because if the mincemeat isn’t bound with egg, they usually only have those brioche buns which are brushed with egg on the top. But yeah, I’ll tell the waiter I’m allergic to egg and I still get Mayo! You’re right though, much easier to spot, and whenever I order a sandwich/burger/panini the first thing I do is open it up to check. I booked a table at Ketchup in Ashton Lane years ago (is it still there??) and I was really happy that their burgers didn’t have egg. But of course, I knew they only had brioche buns, so I brought a Morton’s roll with me and presented it to the waiter asking if they could use my roll instead. My meal arrived and my burger was in between two bits of lettuce. They had BINNED my roll because they didn’t allow any outside food. I mean, wtf? 🤣 |
